Greetings!

As mentioned in the previous update we brought the Engineer mech's design back to formula in the weeks after the KickStarter. We wanted a more engineer look, a drone/mine launcher and an articulated repair arm. We also decided to package the Engineer with HOVER jet legs so that mech type could be represented physically in the game. (Especially since we already had two different bi-pedal leg sets). We really like how it turned out!

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE

Our lead sculptor has provided us with two types of Hover Jet legs. Quad Jet and Dual Rail legs. Vote for your favorite at http://www.badcrowgames.com/poll

The model with the most votes entered by our submission deadline (approximately Nov 24th) will be the one we produce!

These renders are design renders only. We will showcase production renders as they are available. Note that additional detail and texture will be incorporated on some remaining parts of the Engineer. The Dual Rail legs, if selected will also receive some more texture and detail.

Mechs utilizing hover jet legs have the potential for extreme mobility with high armor and heavier weight weapons. The primary drawback is these legs strain the generator reducing the amount energy available for weapons. Hover jet legs can never use deployment weapons. (Deployment weapons require immobilizing your mech while firing but have greater damage and power efficiency than regular weapons.) Hover Jet legs will be the only leg type capable of equipping the Infinity Boosters, showcased in the previous update. These boosters allow a pilot to move to any spot on the map, but require a long recharge time.

These leg models will use a stand to raise the mech 3/4" above the LED bases. Let us know what you think and dont forget to vote for your favorite leg type at http://www.badcrowgames.com/poll

Note that this mech comes included in the Tactical Warfare Add-On Pack. This pack is included with all Ultimate Bundles but if you are at the Merc or Raven pledge level you will be able to add it to your rewards via the pledge manager scheduled for launch before the end of the year.

Mech Boards for the Engineer models will include hover jet versions and bi-pedal versions, although you can attach the engineer body to any of the leg types. Here is a sample of the Engineer with bi-pedal legs.

Based off the responses we are going to start prepping the molds for the Quad Jet version now. We will keep the dual rail for something else later on. There has been some good feedback on possible changes to those. They need to spread out wider for one. We'll keep it in reserve. With some modifications they could make for a good hover tank chassis.
