After a few games, I think the notorious "analysis paralysis" problem
is actually only a novice player's problem. After playing a few games and picking
up some of its strategies, I no longer feel any need to think for a long
time. That should be the case with any player who has some understanding
of the strategies. When a player spends a long time, he is really more
trying to figure out how to think about his move, rather than really thinking
about his move.
So I suggest that everyone plays quickly and try to see more games. This
spplies to many games too: you can improve your skill faster by playing
more games and learning from the experience, than by spending a long time
thinking about your moves in your first games.
