What is the definition of a "character"? Is it just the heroes and their allies/companions, or does it include enemy models as well?
This is for the purposes of the hindering rules, and special rules from some of the missions. e.g. From playing the mission "In the Clutches of the Picts", special rules say "Hut Flaps: a character must spend 1 extra movement point to move across a border into or out of a hut." - does this apply to both heroes and Overlord units? Do the hindering rules apply to both heroes and Overlord units? If a pict warrior is in a location with an enemy hero, do they lose 1 movement point for hindrance and have their ranged attacks affected?
actually the hindering part is one of the key rules! and ONLY enemy characters are hindering you. your allies support you versus the hindering. so for example 1 hero with 2 enemies would need 3 movement points to move out of the zone (1 for moving, 1 per enemies hindering him). a hero with an ally in the same zone against 2 enemies would only need 2 movement points to move out (1 for moving and 1 for the one enemy that is not kept in check by the ally). Hindering is absolutely crucial in this game! Especially for the Overlord to slow down heroes or to pin them in a spot!!!
and of course this also works vioce-versa, so for example 1 monster with 2 heroes would need 3 movement points to move out of the zone (1 for moving, 1 per hero hindering him). a monster with an allied monster in the same zone against 2 heroes would only need 2 movement points to move out (1 for moving and 1 for the one oponnent that is not kept in check by the ally).
