Bus - You may push an alien back 1 space (follow arrows in reverse) when moving onto a space occupied by an alien. (This action still causes you to lose a life.)
Lilla - You have 5 Change A Die tokens at the beginning of each round. You may spend a token to change a non-Alien Move symbol roll to a side of your choice.
Sarah Mercy - Starts the game with 5 Action dice. You may give a die to another player who has permanently lost an Action die. While in possession of 5 Action dice, you may not use any on One-Use slots.
Sandman - Once per round, you may put yourself on your side. While on your side, no alien may push you. You may not do any action beside using your Action Slot while on your side. You may use your Action Slot to stand up. At the end of the Action Phase, you stand up (you may now be pushed by aliens). (While on your side, immovable aliens may not be targeted to move if there are any moveable aliens.)
Caress - Whenever you hurt (but not kill) an alien, you may make that alien retreat 1 space (follow arrows in reverse).
Momentum - You may also move all other characters within range 1 when rolling a Move symbol. (All characters may move with a single Move symbol.)
Robcart - You may use your Action Slot to exchange Weapons and/or Items with another character. (That character may be anywhere on the board.)

Note: These have not been playtested.

Sandra - You may activate One-Use Slots at a range of 2.
Vicky - You control KS-2161. [No change from the original.]
KS-2161 - It is controlled by Vicky. It does not lose life from alien abilities. (To win, it must be across the Starting Area after the Objective has been completed.)

Of all of those, I think the Lilla and Sarah Mercy alts are the best. Though I'd still allow SM to use One-Use slots. And I do wonder if Lilla's might be a little OP.

Robcart's isn't bad, but without his ability to search all the time, it's not as good. Same with Momentum. Not bad, but it requires communication with other players that takes up time you don't have to spare. And you have to be near someone as well, which might not be that common.

I don't like Bus (a situation where you need to push someone back 1 space is very rare, and your 3 life tokens are vital), Sandman (that ability seems about as useful as his current one), or Caress (only viable against bosses/specials, and could put them out of range).

Other options:

Sandman - You may use your Action Slot to put all Soldier Aliens within a straight line on their side (Line of Sight needed). They do not move or do abilities during this Round. [Similar to the original, but in a straight line rather than range 1]

I'm thinking of giving Bus the option of not getting pushed back IF he loses a wound token. This gives him the ability to hold up a whole line of aliens if it is critical. I could see a dramatic end game where he is adjacent to the base and these aliens keep rushing him during the last Alien turn and he holds til his last wound and their last movement point and then lets them push him onto the base for the player's win!

Sandra: She can sacrifice one of her dice permanently to treat One-Time-Slots as regular slots.
Caress: Once he kills an enemy at range 1, he can move along a straight line of aliens (chain) and ends movement on the first free space behind the last alien in the line.

All just ideas and not play-tested.

With the suggestion for Sandra, can she grab every single item using the first search area then? How does this work with demolition and extermination tiles? Are the events considered finished if she covers up all the slots on it and then takes the dice back? Or is this just One-Time-Slots on weapons, items, and Recon/Recovery tiles only?

Sandra's ability would only work on items and weapons.
