I believe there is a typo on page 5, the first sentence in Phase 3: Roll Dice.

Quote:
Your Initial Speed determines how many dice you have to roll.


It is your current speed, or simply your speed, that determines how many dice you roll. Not your initial speed, which may have changed in Phase 2: adjust initial speed.

Maybe I just have an earlier version of the rulebook.

I agree that we could have been a bit more careful with the way we defined "initial speed" in the rulebook.

We use "initial speed" to refer to your speed before you adjust it with the dice that you roll on your turn.

So your initial speed is the speed at the start of your turn. Then you adjust your speed based on damage. This is your new initial speed.
