When you have evidence and can combine them...or have a key ect.... does the investigator have to hold the cards?

Like if one person has the key but someone else is at the door that needs the key... it lets u open the door..even if the investigator with the key isn't there? Or with evidence...if multiple different people have pieces of the evidence ....you can still combine?

Are you supposed to police yourself?

You are supposed to police yourself. Only the investigator carrying the key can open the door. Same applies to evidence needed in whatever situation.

The investigator needs to be in possession of the correct key in order to open a locked door. Also, having evidence may give an investigator a bonus when performing certain actions in some scenerios.

There is also one particular exploration marker in Sentinel Hill that requires the investigator has 2(?) pieces of evidence to complete

Only the investigator with the correct key can open the door, but I don't think you need to have all of the evidence on the one investigator to combine it.
