I looked through a few pages on this board and I may have missed it, but i have a huge problem! I don't think it's limited to my copy....

The MvM box does not fit in my Ikea shelf!! On it's side, laying down, nothing!

Come on guys, what's going on here?! My Kallax series shelves will be lonely with MvM on them...

EDIT: this post is VERY tongue in cheek. I don't want to start a flame war or anything. #1stWorldGamerProblem

Time to move and get a carpenter to build custom shelves.

Enough with the click-bait subject lines. They're as clever as cat memes.

You can modify the KALLAX shelves by removing the divider on the top shelf. I broke off the wooden dowels flush with the shelf and then covered the holes with black duct tape. Now my big box games like Tokaido, Star Trek Ascendancy, and MvM have a home on my shelf.

Then don't click them. I came here expecting either a pun or a big flame war.

This is reminiscent of that scene from 'Jaws': "We're gonna need a bigger shelf!"

Easy: Empty the gamebox, glue the lid with its side onte the side of the box and use the box/lid as a new shelf - it will hold quite a few games...

You just didn't look hard enough.

Arrived! — though it is too big for Kallax :(

Lol, I was actually looking at that one today as well... but decided not to go with it... didn't want to attach it to the wall , thought it was too much of a hassle, as the wall I would have had to attach it to has wires running trough it... then I would have to be very careful where to drill.

Did look like a fine closet, if you don't mind the extra work.

The most important of a work out/ exercise contraption offered on commercials is that it fits under the bed.

You have probably a few of those stowed under your bed. Throw one of them, and problem solved.

(My copy still rest on my pool table. Will be stored under under it later)

This is working as intended. The game doesn't fit the shelf, today. But when the Mechs vs Minions Big Box (MvMBB) comes out, with all expansions included, your shelf will fit into the game!

This is why they make tops of shelves. You just need to invent a system of pulleys and levers to lift it up there.

Yep, I figured no one had shelves big enough for this box (except maybe some Germans). While I appreciate the luxury of it I'd have been good with a Rebellion/Forbidden Stars-sized box and the minions in a plastic bag. I'm not much for inserts anyway and it would sure be nice to store this thing normally.

1:st world problem indeed. But honestly - when you consider how much thought went in to this project it actually makes me surprised they didn't think of that too. Kinda nice to know they did something wrong with the game.

One of my game storage cupboards is an Ikea Billy bookcase with the optional doors attached. Fits with room to spare, so I consider this game Ikea friendly.

I threw away my box and the plastic containers and just keep everything in a couple shoe boxes. It's way easier to store, transport, and setup this way.

I didn't go that far, but only for the sake of maintaining resale value. The inserts are pretty, but they're way too large and not nearly as practical as my amazing bag o' minions.

I put the inserts in the box the game came in and put that out in the garage. For now.

Not my first problem game. Nope, that's Twilight Imperium. So, to fit Twilight Imperium I removed an upright in one of the Kallax units and then it fits no problem.

I find my life is full of IKEA hackery.
