I like The Castles of Burgundy: The Card Game equally as well as The Castles of Burgundy. It's just quicker.

I love Catan Card Game; it's one of my Top 10. I dislike regular Catan.

I've read so much about Tigris & Euphrates but have never had a chance to even lay eyes on the game. I hoped that Euphrates & Tigris: Contest of Kings would give me a taste of the board game. But the rule book was too confusing, and I've never tried the game.

I ordered Blockers! from an OLGS. They accidentally sent me Blockers! The Card Game. While neither ranks high for me, each has its good points. The card game plays well with 2 players, while the board game plays better with 4.

I like both 7 Wonders and 7 Wonders Duel. Because they're both card games, they don't answer the question being asked. But I do like the latter game because it's for 2 players.

It's not a "X: The Dice Game" but while Pandemic is a really meh game for me, Pandemic: The Cure is one of my all-time favorite games. Similarly Roll for the Galaxy is also way up there for me. In fact, these two games have actually piquesd my interest in other "The Dice Game" reimplementations, so I am eager to hear what people think of e.g. Ra: The Dice Game, Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age, Nations: The Dice Game, Biblios Dice, VivaJava: The Coffee Game: The Dice Game etc.

The closest thing I can think of that I've ever tried is Monopoly Deal Card Game.

I have never played anything called : The Dice Game or : The Card Game. Maybe one day.

Edit: After just seeing the last post I can say I do own and have played Roll for the Galaxy. I don't think it's exactly what we are looking for but I didn't love it anyways. It's up for sale.

My biggest surprise this year was probably that I like The Castles of Burgundy: The Card Game even better than the board game. I was just hoping it might be say 70% as good. The majority seem to prefer the board game though.

I just find it a beautiful weight to play time ratio, and enjoy it much more than some of my other set collection card games that feel a touch on the light side! It is so fluid.

The main negative is that despite it being the card game, it's a table hog. Though it does pack compact for travel.

Also BANG! the dice game. It is quick and fun, with plenty of take-that.

I am aware that San Juan and Puerto Rico are related, but the only relationship I can see is the names of the games. What other similarities do you see?

The role selection, the buildings and the resources as far as I remember both games.

I don't mind Ra, but I love Ra: The Dice Game
I prefer San Juan to Puerto Rico
I like Pandemic but I own Pandemic: the Cure
I strongly prefer Dark Moon to Battlestar Galactica

on the opposite end:
I liked Roll for the Galaxy but kind of burned out on it, and disliked the expansion. I'd like to play more Race, however.
Nations: the Dice Game didn't interest me much at all.
They're barely related, but the various incarnations of Roll Through the Ages I find pointless.
I don't remember much about the T&E card game except there was no reason to play it instead of the board game.
