Yes folks you read that right. Target has a promo code for "20% off select toys" with promo code KIDSGIFTS and IT FREAKING STACKS WITH THE BOGO!!!!! I just ordered ten games for $145.98 including both Castles of Mad King Ludwig and its Secrets expansion.

AND it stacks with your 5% discount if you have that.

** Update 10/31: appears to be dead?

That one doesn't have the additional discount in the title.

Eh, too late now. I actually didn't see that thread at first.

My receipt says:

you saved $152.08 (51%)

The games would be about $208 from amazon, so the savings is really ~$63. Still decent.

Re: [Target] 20% off some toys with code KIDSGIFTS *STACKS WITH B2G1*
I never seem to get the great savings everyone else seems to get from these Target sales.

For instance, the three games I would want from this deal are Terra Mystica, Concordia, and Lewis & Clark. Once the B2G1 deal is applied, plus the KIDSGIFTS 20% off, the total cost comes to $130.95.

I can go to Coolstuff Inc. right now and put those three games in my cart and they would cost $54.99, $37.49 and $43.99, respectively. That's $136. I save $6 from this sale. That's hardly an incentive for me to go run out and make a purchase. I find that Target's base price is usually close to MSRP, so even with these great "deals", you can usually do just as well elsewhere.

I think it depends on which games you look at. They've got some excellent prices on less expensive games, but their high-end stock like Evolution and the games you mentioned is priced higher. After all discounts, I paid $30.72 after tax for Dixit Quest expansion ($18 on Amazon), Magic Labyrinth ($26) and Machi Koro Bright Lights ($30). That's $44 off, not including tax.

Re: [Target] 20% off some toys with code KIDSGIFTS *STACKS WITH B2G1*
I can sympathize, although with me I'm still trying to build up a decent game library so I have been trying to get solid classics.

The Target algorithm is such that it will take 20% off first, then sort them from most to least expensive and every third one is free. Then it applies tax and Target card discount.

A more detailed breakdown of what I got (one order):

Castles of MKL $45.09 -> $36.07
Lanterns $38.49 -> $30.79
KnitWit $34.99 -> free
CoMKL Secrets $29.99 -> $23.99
Sheriff of Nott $22.99 -> $18.39
Pound of Dice $21.99 -> free
Perudo (Liar's Dice) $18.99 -> $15.19
Lords of Scotland $15.99 -> $12.79
12 Days $12.00 -> free
Iota $7.99 -> $6.39, cheap enough that I didn't care it was the tenth

Sums to $143.62 * 1.07 (tax) * 0.95 (card discount) = $145.99

$14.60 per game.

Sorry if that's a lot of math.

Is the 20% of code still working for the BOGO offer? I tried but does not seem to work.
