So my swimming club will have a training weekend in a few weeks. During breaks we will supply them with some activities that will keep them going all week. Therefore, being a gamer, I suggested to bring some of my games to play with the kids. I just need you guys to pick out a few good examples fitting these criterias;

1.: We will have about 1 hour of game time

2.: Kids will be ages 8 and up

3.: Need something easy to learn (which is most of my games) so teaching time goes fast

4.: Fun loving, a bit fast paced (due to time, and also...kids get bored... )

5.: Representing different themes/mechanics, to open their horizon on the gaming world out there.

6.: In my collection already

Thanks for all your help!

From your collection?

I'd consider:

- Castle Panic
- Dixit
- Love Letter
- Munchkin (could just go with a 'highest level at X time wins' end condition)
- Qwirkle
- Rory's Story Cubes (the kids might make up their own games/activities with these)
- Tsuro

Thanks!! That`s a lot to go on. Funny that I don`t realize what I have in my collection before someone else list them as advices for me.....whistle

I was also thinking about Vikings and Stone Age, possibly Dominion. And I have a whole lot of filler games on stand-by

I try my luck again.

I will be entertaining kids during a swimming weekend again, and I will probably pack some games for adults, too. But here I have picked out games aimed for the kids. They are ages 8 and up. If all goes well, I will have adults stationed at each table to help out a bit. Not many here are used to playing these sort of games. I have compiled a list over games I could possibly use. Any that pop out especially here?

Co-op (25-60 min)
-Castle Panic (60 min)
-Pandemic: the Cure (30 min)
-Mysterium (42 min)
-Hanabi (25 min)
-Ryktet går (?) (30 min) (not cooperative, but more a fun game than competative)

Competative (30-60 min)
-Pompeii (45 min)
-Tobago (60 min)
-Vikings (60 min)
-Alhambra (45-60 min)
-Qwirkle (45 min)
-Jamaica (30-60 min)
-7 Wonders (30 min)
-Infinite City (45 min)
-Isle of Skye (30-50 min)

Filler (10-20 min)(so they can do something while waiting for the others)
-Red7
-Straw
-Mow
-Tsuro
-Nodwick
-Birds of a feather
-Dobble
