I have the original and have just seen the Kickstarter for "....Eastern Front"

Was interested in the new map until I saw price.

No wonder there is only one backer shake

Yep, that would be me.
* sigh *

I just want a mounted and expanded (new territory) map. 60 bux is a LOT, but half of that is shipping here to Oz.

I was hoping that as an owner of the 1st edition, I could just pledge for an upgrade kit, which includes a mounted map, updated rules PDF, stickers and blocks for the new units only.

TBH the shipping is what it is, surprised no European Distributors. USD$30 for a mounted board though?? Especially when we were "Early Birds" at retail.....

Life is easier and cheaper for wargamers who are happy with non-mounted maps.

thanks for the helpful advice Steve but you clearly didn't read the follow up above.

USD30 for a mounted board?

No, I read it. I was trying to make light of the situation, and apparently failed miserably.

I thought the same thing and postage to me is not nearly as steep.

Passing.

Well, Mark, the distributor gives it to the US Postal Service who deliver it to the embarkation point at the same rate US gamers pay. After that, there is the cost of shipping it over the pond. That does cost something, right? After that, you pay outrageous tariffs and delivery surcharges to your UK government before it gets to your door. That accounts for most of the cost. But don't feel too bad - I'm paying $175 a month for medication you get for free. Quit whining.

Factually incorrect on virtually every front. Made me laugh though!

Some Kickstarter manage to be EU friendly though.
