Hi,
We have developped a prototype for a game and we are looking for tips or reference to some thread or resources to provide advice on how to get the maximum at trying to contact an editor.

Any help would be immensely appreciated!

We have worked two years so far to develop the mecanic and the content, and we have a well ironed out prototype. It has been regularly tested, but not to a high volume. The game element aren't fully balanced (208 unique cards), but it is not broken for sure (the game mechanics works great).

We are currently looking to get as many people around us to play the game, but we wonder how much testing is required before a pitch to an editor?

Can an editor interested by the theme and concept assist us in doing some testing?

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

Playtest the game as much as possible before trying to submit it to a company. BGDF has a section on submitting games.

Sounds like you need a competent developer. Christwart Conrad might be willing to help you, send him a geekmail.

Thank you for the useful reference Philip and thank you John for the offer.

However, the game prototype is currently in French (developped in Québec) and the translated version will not be available before a month or so. We need to make sure that most of the review is done to avoid to have to make frequent corrections in two environments.

As soon as we have an English version, I will mention it.
