RTS is decidedly not the genre I was expecting when it was mentioned at some point that Jakub was in talks with video game companies about licensing his 1920s universe in that sector, but I can certainly see it.

Look forward to it but the 2018 release date is ...optimistic.

I've had a lot of fun playing the Company of Heroes franchise and seeing Jakub's work applied to that style of game sounds like a lot of fun.

I'm excited about this too! I'm not involved in Iron Harvest, though I look forward to playing it. http://iron-harvest.com/
We're working with a different company to bring the Scythe board game to digital form (Steam, iOS, Android, etc). http://www.scythedigitaledition.com/

Our current mobile gaming has been pretty limited to Agricola, Patchwork, and Stone Age. Getting to play Scythe while waiting at a restaurant or a line for a movie would be amazing.

...Didn't Jakub mention having been in talks with a couple of movie studios interested in his 1920s world at some point? Imagine playing Scythe while waiting in line to watch a movie set in that world...

I would very much like to see a Scythe movie, television show, or even a novelization. I can't give any details about it at this point, but I can say that we're exploring some options.

This will be the first videogame that I will buy based on prior knowledge of the worldbuilding art/artist... Even if its more than a year out, it makes me feel all fancy.

Because some of them are terrible: the Scythe TV soap opera, for example.
Best to focus on the options with a chance of greatness. The weekday afternoon chat show is a wonderful idea. Anna & Wojtek will host the Monday shows, Gunter & Nacht the Tuesdays, and so on. If it gets high enough ratings, there will be weekend shows as well, hosted by the Invaders From Afar.
