Lew Coatney's CRT for AH Stalingrad:
Good enough to stand alone.
A long overdue, straightforward, mod that puts early-turn fire in the Nazi sword... and Commie counter-attacks.
But will it "balance?...
"The World will hold it's breath."

The additional Variant images and suggestions by Lew Coatney v.v. AH Stalingrad effectively mediate the changes in the CRT (given as a stand-alone above in the O.P.)
1)by using the counter mix change (images)
2)River defense not doubled ["Germans" excepted] but having added combat factors
3) A Reserve rule.
4) stacking
5) "attack factors are replacement factors" [below Russian counter image]
The "suggestions" #2,#3,#4, and #5 are derived from BGG posts.

Although I have collated/organized a collection of relevant quotes from the above thread, they may not be sufficiently definitive for repetition here.

color is 2/15/17 Edit.

It's Lou, James, LOU. (Talk to the boy, will you, LEWis? )

I really should write up my proposed revision to old Stalingrad ... map, pieces and all ... and post it on BGG.
