Welcome again heroes to another dungeon-delving adventure! You have slain the giant Narthak. In this adventure, you will be entering the dungeon of his relatives. Three randomly-drawn heroes have been selected for you, as well as three randomly-drawn skills for each. (Fighting in red, subterfuge in green, and wizardry in purple.) Since we are not playing with expansions yet, the hero shuffle includes the 20 basic ones, plus the 6 promotional heroes from DungeonQuest and the 4 additional promotional heroes from the Realms of Terrinoth event. (These extra 10 heroes require only base game components.)

Luke has suggested to give 3 choices to each hero, but respectfully, this might be more enjoyable for the heroes but it is more likely to form the ideal party! And make it harder for the overlord! So if the heroes don't mind, perhaps we can keep the single random draw.

Heroes, please select your characters. First post, first pick! Then, if you wish, select a single skill to replace with a random one of the same discipline. For example, Nara the Fang is very skilled with melee weapons but his subterfuge skill relates to archery. You may (but do not have to) replace Master Archer in the hopes of getting a subterfuge skill that does not relate to ranged weapons and more towards evasion or agility.

Blessing: You have the Command ability.
Boggs the Rat:Boggs the rat is your familiar. Take the Boggs the rat marker at the start of the game. Boggs's speed is 4. The overlord player cannot spawn monsters within line of sight of Boggs, just as if he were a hero. A familiar moves at the end of its owners turn. Familiars do not block movement or line of sight. Both enemy and friendly figures can end their movement in the same space as a familiar. Familiars cannot be harmed or killed in any way.
Vampiric Blood:You gain 1 fatigue each time you deal the killing blow to an enemy figure. If the figure is Undying, you do not gain fatigue unless the figures stays dead.

Inner Fire:When making a Ranged or Magic attack, you gain +2 Range and +1 Damage.Divine Retribution replaced with Inner Fire.
Quick Casting:After making a Magic attack, you may immediately spend 2 fatigue and exhaust this card to make 1 additional attack with the same weapon this turn.
Telekinesis:Spend 1 fatigue during your turn to move any figure within your line of sight 1 space, following normal movement rules. You may use this ability multiple times, paying its cost each time.

Knight: When you declare a Battle action, you may immediately spend 2 fatigue to gain movement points equal to half your speed (round up) and may make 3 attacks instead of 2 this turn.
Tough:Your maximum wounds are increased by 4.
Marksman: When making a Ranged or Magic attack, you gain +3 Range. Master Archer replaced with Marksman.

OK, Luke! Your replacement skill is Marksman! (Sorry...I don't think you'll be using it much. )

EDIT: Luke you can go shopping. You have 300 coins. Go ahead and buy anything on this list, including healing and vitality potions for 50 coins each. (It just has to say "JITD.")

I'd highly suggest playing with 4 heroes, add the game is balanced for it.

Thank you...considering my beating last time, we'll see how a 3 hero game turns out, and perhaps go from there. I appreciate all your PBF resources.

NP. Quest 1 and 2 are beginner quests to get both the heroes and the OL a feel for the game. It would take a miracle for the OL to beat the heroes in the first quest (although you played quite well).

I apologize if I'm interjecting too much, but it will be needed, at least by Quest 3.

Since Bogran, Landrec, and Kel have slain Narthak, his two elder brothers, Munkar and Nakir, have began terrorizing the countryside. The king promises to reward the heroes who can slay the Brothers Durnog.

The heroes begin with 5 conquest. This dungeon introduces secret rules - only the overlord knows how some things work, and the heroes will have to discover them by trial and error. If some veteran heroes have heard rumors about dungeon secrets, they may discuss them...as if they were rumors!

Spoiler (click to reveal)
We should be able to clear most of the monsters in this first turn and be in position to open the door/doors next turn.

Nara will head towards the Master Beastman to hopefully take that out before it has a chance to attack!

Maybe Nara should go first to see if she can kill the Master? Then you guys can clean up if she fails with your magic attacks!

2 + 3 (surges) + 1 (command) = 6 - 2 armor = 4 damage total.

Beastman down!

Nara spends 2 movement points to move O15 > P14. Nara spends 1 fatigue to move to P13 and declares an attack against the Master Beastman on Q12 with the Axe.

No dodge. A single swing of Nara's axe destroys the Beastman! (Even though he didn't roll all three power dice he was allowed!)

Go ahead; no space traps.

Doesn't he only get 2?

EDIT: Derp. I was thinking the dice matched the number of skills. But there is a section for the black pwoer dice.
