Well, to be really honest, I have yet to play my first game of BT, I got the game, the expansions AND the 2 creatures last week BUT I really don't know anybody here to play against. (I ordered it because I'm a huge Memoir'44 fan).

Personally I'm a great fan of Rhapsody of Fire (formerly just Rhapsody), a great Italian symphonic metal band that loves to tell stories about fantastic times!

I was wondering what music do you prefer to listen while playing!?

(Wouldn't it be so hilariuos of somebody listened to the metal band called Battlelore?)

Only played one game and I can't remember what music I had then. I have a CD of "Music form the Crusades" that would be fairly apt. Also various Gregorian chants...

Corny, but effective: Epic Movie Soundtracks (Lord of The Rings, Braveheart, Kingdom of Heaven) or other epic movie sounds (Ennio Morricone, Twin Peaks and such). Also Dead Can Dance, Massive Attack and other mostly instrumental music.
I find that symfo-gothic metal to be totally unsuitable. I-rape-my-voice-type vocals, dracula-keyboards and the same 3 to 4 powerchords over and over again are not evoking any atmosphere for me (although I do like metal from time to time)....

Dude; I totally listen to Battlelore whilst playing Battlelore. Their new album, "Evernight" rocks out loud.

Scandanavian power metal totally works with this game. Another good one is Turisas' "Battle Metal." Works perfectly with this game.

I have a massive collection of movie / game soundtracks and like to burn custom discs for games. For Battlelore, I use a mix of the following soundtracks:

Conan the Barbarian
Krull
Baldur's Gate
Icewind Dale
King Arthur
Kingdom of Heaven
Gladiator
The 13th Warrior

Etc.
