I love the clean an simple graphic design of the cards, but they're noticeably lacking art.

did an amazing job on his cards using screencaps from The Original Series, and his graphic redesign looks very professional. However, I want to keep the clean and simple design of the original cards, which I think goes very well with the artistic style of The Animated Series.

Here's what I have so far. This is the first page of card fronts. I did some rearranging of the card text to make room for the pictures, and I replaced the Kelvin Timeline science symbols with the Original Series science symbols.

Wonderful! I can't wait until someone gets inspired to make a set of next-generation cards, or Deep Space 9, or Voyager. Expansions, anyone?

Here's another preview of the card designs. I may still make some changes and would welcome feedback.

PS. I know the yellow looks pretty bright. I'll do a test printing to see if it's too bright when printed. I'm also considering some additional tweaks to the mission cards.

I decided to rework the mission cards a little. I changed the bright yellow to a gold/mustard yellow and added a lighter background to the mission steps to highlight them a little better.

I look forward to crafting this, Danny! What are your thoughts thus far on making this a solid co-op game beyond solitaire play?

I think this shade of red works a little better for the event cards. It's a subtle yet very noticeable change and takes the edge off the brightness and increases the contrast for the text and dice symbols over the previous shade.

Actually, I think this makes a better competitive game than a co-op. I'm thinking of something along the lines of The Castles of Burgundy where everyone has their own board and dice. It would be more of a race to see who can complete five missions first. I've posted my thoughts in more detail in another thread, and would love to hear some feedback.

I've basically settled on a design for the card backs, but I'm still playing around with it a little. Here are four variations on the design I'm using. I would like your opinions on them and which one you like best.

I'd go with #3 with #1 as a second choice.

One unrelated thing. When I had my dice made, the folks cutting them didn't like the star trek "symbol". I realized that that was meant to symbolize command (captain Kirk's symbol) but the rest of the dice used the symbol INSIDE the outer symbol. I told the dice maker to do that. Doing that is actually consistent to the other engineering and science symbols.

Obviously this isn't a big deal but I thought I would bring it up.

Are you going to do a printerstudio or artscow link? Not that you need to.

Undecided.

If I do, it won't be right away. If someone else wants to do the heavy lifting of breaking these apart into individual card images and formatting them for printer studio or artscow, you are more than welcome to do so.

I just realized I have a picture mismatch on one of the cards. One of the Security Station cards has the picture for Red Alert. I've corrected the problem and uploaded a new file.

This is a link to Artscow for this deck. It was definitely a LOT of work to get the bleed right. I do like the old Animated series though.
