I am wondering if other people think this game is too easy. Each of us has played Pandemic once or twice, but we are all highly strategical players and being a co-op game we clearly are willing to do the best choice for each game even if it is not the most thrilling.

Maybe spoilers about the first couple games:

So far we have played the first 3 games (finished March) each with a win that felt very easy. We currently have Red disease upgraded to 3, and Yellow at 1 (with plans to go to 3 next win). Quarantine Specialist + Dispatcher being Family they just sit in 1 spot and cover the board with quarantines / move the other characters efficiently. In general, our researcher is able to help us finish off our cures and with our Dispatcher having the Pilot upgrade he is able to help trade if needed by flying + dragging + trading. So far we have only had 4 outbreaks in 3 games and the closest we came to losing was the first game where we almost ran out of cards.

I assume it starts getting harder. Does it? XD I enjoy the game a lot so far, but worried it is too easy.

Also for April unless we get a new objective we are forced to build military buildings. When you complete an objective that isn't mandatory is it gone forever? We did 3 cures + 1 eradicate in March, does the 1 eradicate stay in future games?

Yes, it gets harder. Consider the first couple months a sort of tutorial easing you into the Legacy idea and setting up the plot.

For your 2nd question, only get rid of cards if they explicitly tell you to. Otherwise, they stick around.

Note: You can only upgrade your diseases if you eradicate them that game.

The first three months are training wheel games. There are like 4-5 threads on this topic, and I'm pretty sure they've all been posted right after March.

Alright, I was guessing that was what was happening. My group is pretty deep into Seafall before starting this game so we are all familiar. Figured that this was mostly just setting us up and getting used to everything. Just wanted to make sure because if all other 9 months are this easy it will get boring fast

Spoiler (click to reveal)
As far as eradication, we figured those were the best upgrades so we started with upgrade 1 + pilot and then specifically targetted that next month to get upgrade 2/3 and in 3rd month targetted another to get it the first + best spot we thought for research

Not sure if its the best plan, but seems good for now. I am excited for having to change up the characters though. Quarantine/Dispatcher+Pilot/Medic/Researcher seems really hard to beat without a lot of new mechanics.

Thanks for the quick response!

Also you're aware that the Quarantine Specialist can only remotely Quarantine one space per turn? I mean with five turns I know you can move and do some Quarantines as well, but you can't just use all five actions to Quarantine willy-nilly.
