Did the professional voice actor dude really need to pronounce the infamous residents of Dunwich, the 'Whateley' family as 'Whatley'... hate to say it damages the immersion, but, it kinda does.

There, worlds pettiest post over.

For what it is worth, the Secret Cabel used "wait-lee" on the radio drama of Dunwich Horror they recently did. Whenever I read it, I just said "what"-lee in my brain also.

I am an engineer and went with "WattLee". (a like the o in hot).

It is a Massachusetts thing, so it probably sounds more like "Wat Lee" (a like in hat).

If it is southern MA, try "Wahtlay". whistle

I would think it should be pronounced "waitlee".
Whate (white with an a instead of an e) + Ley.

Ha! Lovely convo, I guess regional dialects will have variations. Every reading I've heard is Wait-lee. Check this old 40's suspense adaptation.

I am from Australia though, so I don't know how to pronounce anything!

Well, that's how I pronounce it, too - not that I have a clue what the correct pronounciation might be...

I think it is. It is a page on the 9th mission that came with KS with QR codes on it.

I've only listened to a few of them, and I have to say you are not missing anything. The people in my group do a MUCH better voice acting job.
