Hometown Sports Grill
1525 Bank St, Ottawa, ON K1H 7Z1

Hometown Sports Grill has invited the Ottawa Board Gaming Community to host a board gaming night each and every Sunday on Bank St. minutes from Carleton University.

This event is free with ample free parking.
We typically get 35-50 gamers each Sunday.
We start at 6:30 pm and usually go till 12:30 am.
Specials: ½ price pizza, $5 Caesars and 32oz mini pitchers of Canadian or Coors Light for $8.
The location is large, well-lit, and a fantastic venue for board gaming.

Ottawa Board Gaming Community is a Meetup Group for people who enjoy board gaming and socializing. Our meetups have more of a socializing aspect versus a competitive gaming environment so come join us on our next meetup to have a laugh, a bite to eat and meet some interesting people to play all sorts of board games with, from the classics, to the bizarre and the new.

First time attending? You do not need to bring any games unless you have one you would like to play. When you first arrive, there are typically 3 organizers waiting to greet you, get you a name tag and a raffle ticket for one of our draws. Due to the large size of our group, it is very easy to find a game and people are always eager to teach games. We have a game library of over 300 games for all levels and interests of gaming.

It’s November, that means it’s been 1 year since our first meetup. Lots has changed, tons of games, countless amounts of laughs shared with so many wonderful people and what are we going to do different this year? Nothing. Just play and laugh harder! We started the group with the founding principles:

• No one should have to pay to play.
• It’s a safe welcoming environment for all.
• Everyone is welcome, at any game level or interest.
• There is always a spot open at the table for new people.

Each gaming night for the month of November, we will be doing a nightly draw for prizes as well as a monthly draw for 3 copies of Patchwork. How do you get a ticket? Simply show up and fill one out.

Want to get an extra raffle ticket? For the month of November, the Ottawa Board Gaming Community, Hometown Sports Grill and Boston Pizza are partnering up for a food drive with the Ottawa Food Bank. If you would like to bring a non-perishable food item to any one of our Board Gaming Nights, you will get an additional raffle ticket for our weekly and monthly draws. You don’t need to be present for the draws, if you win we will contact you.

We look forward to meeting everyone!
