I just picked up a 4x4 Kallax and like it very much. Perfect size for boardgame boxes. One of the easier ones to assemble, too.

I picked up 2 Kallax 2x2 shelves last month.. they fit perfectly. I recommend buying some of the cloth insert/boxes.. they're only like $5.00 each and come in handy for holding small games and odd bits.. I only bought 2 of them, and wish I had bought at least 2 more.

yeah I love the Kallax shelves. I find them very sturdy. I also like that they have different sizes to suit different room layouts.

I use to have Kallax's (Kalli?) but switched for the larger capacity you gain with Besta's. They even sell nice 'leather effect' boxes which fit nicely for smaller games and accessories.

Never fails to amaze me - no matter how huge collection is, and how polished furniture is, the rooms all look like bland office spaces or medical waiting rooms. How do you rich people live like that?

I'd say that a 6x6 Kallax is a better size

I won't have stinking people sleep in my pristine game room!

'Game room'?
Maybe you also have a 'rules study room', 'geek snack dining room', 'filler room', 'adventure room' and 'euro room'? That would make sense.

(But honestly, yes, there are max 2-3 rooms for a typical dwelling, all of them quite small, esp. bedrooms.)

Do you lay base covers so game boxes won't rub and wear against the wood?

It seems very pricey to me. Plus I have got used to seeing my boxes exceed the depth of my Billy shelves.

It's pictures like this that make me long for an Ikea... and a house to put all the shelves in! We're in an apartment here, and I've got a black Walmart bookcase, and a 3x3 Square cube shelf that keeps all our gaming stuff!

Definitely not as nice! x.x;
