By having and delivering the better argument. Both sides have their true believers, but they are not the majority on either side. The battle is over the people that can be swayed with reason. The democrats lost this round.

No offense but I remain skeptical. I have yet to find a conservative who acknowledges that the US government has not a debt problem despite me citing various academic sources or explaining it in detail. The best I got so far was: "Ok, but..." with some "my gut tells me you are wrong"-alias afterwards.

Speaking for myself if the Democrats crashed and burned with Bernie I would not be sticking the knife in and twisting it right now. They would have at least had a candidate with some ethics and principles. Bernie probably regrets folding too easily for the DNC. I know I would have.

Bernie conceded when there was no sliver of a chance of him getting the nomination. Essentially one move before checkmate. And not endorsing Hillary would have helped the Democrats exactly how?

Pie is right except I don't understand why he would have voted Clinton over Trump.
Just like him I am a leftist (yes I know, when I see what's left of ... the left I praise the anonymity of Internet) and like him I do not like Trump, but between measles and cholera, I choose measles.

At least Pie understands he is part of the problem but the reactions of France's socialist party and to a lesser extent the reactions in my insignificant country show that the modern elitist "left" is unable to understand, despite their alleged moral and intellectual superiority. Mind the fucking quotes.

I have to agree, Sanders got "folded", he didn't fold on his own. In fact he started off deep in a hole thanks to the hundreds of additional delegates assigned to Clinton from the start. He continued to fight well past the point where there was much reason to hope he could win. He ended up with a weak endorsement of Clinton (didn't exactly see him out there campaigning hard for her, did you?) simply because "that's the way things are done". Just like Obama invited Trump to the White House, even though there's obviously no love lost between them.

in the real world Bernie was doing rallies on a daily basis for the last two months of the campaign but you go on with your not-knowing-shit-about-shit self
