For adults 2 players and 1 hour clock is ideal. Any more people and i would be worried there wouldnt be much to do or contribute. This was a fun couples activities for people who like light but well-designed puzzles.

Agreed. 45 minutes if you want a real challenge.

We played with four and it was definitely too many. The puzzles are extremely linear so even with two there might be some idle time or wrestling over puzzle pieces but overall I'd say two is ideal as well.

My wife and I set the clock for 90 minutes, and escaped in 80. I agree that 2, or perhaps 3, would be ideal.
