Sometimes life is all hearts, flowers, wealth and good luck, and sometimes ... it isn't ! So, what games would you recommend to yourself to cheer you up, make you laugh, make you forget current circumstances, put a little light / love / laughter onto the table thus into your life ?!

PS Good suggestions may even make it to my wish list !!!!

Best Treehouse Ever because it brings back those childhood dreams.

Arboretum for the beautiful cards and sense of serenity.

Stone Age because there's always something to do even when you're blocked . . . and who doesn't love rattling a handful of dice?!

Sheriff of Nottingham - I've had a the number of board gaming nights and the ones I have hosted, they ALWAYS request a game of this every month... The puns and waggling eyebrows during the bluffing phase as a *ahem* harmless vendor, and getting to character as the villainous Sheriff? HILARIOUS!

Love Letter Gets me everytime. I have never left a game of it less cheerful then when I started.
Camel Up Because cheering on camels is fun, even when your pick for first is dead last but it still has a slim chance to win.

Wow. Amazing ! " Klask" means " try" in Breton. This would be so cool for my Breton gaming club ...

Not a normal suggestion but the game that's seems to make most of my friends and family happy is GUBS: A Game of Wit and Luck. It's hilarious even if a bit luck based but those little pot bellied creatures never fail to put a smile on your face

I would also definately +1 to telestrations - always gets a giggle.

If you want something a little more gamey - we always go to Carcassonne: Over Hill and Dale when we want to be in laid back mode and want peace and it's sunnier and nicer than the other versions and no set up stress

You can always play Cards Against Humanity for an hour, it feels so good when you stop.

But seriously my go to feel good games are Colt Express and Duel of Ages II. The former is a fun goof fest on a cool little train and the latter can end up with Annie Oakley running from some Aliens while carrying a rocket launcher that she can't use and trying to get a rifle by hunting down Jack the Ripper, Amaze on that and you can find Jacks murderous friend as well! Both always make me smile.

After looking at the games you like, I think
Karuba might be a good match. Fun, simultaneous action so everyone is always actively thinking, playing, and having fun!

Hey Waiter! is a unique team game that is a lot of fun.

You've had a lot of good suggestions in the thread. I hope you find some smile producing winners!

Nefarious is a quick game that gives me the giggles. I always look forward to seeing the buttered cat array in somebody's tableau, preferably mine.

+1 Colt Express. But some people find it frustrating and therefore not too happy. For me it's always a riot with the right group. When my nephews get super grouchy over somebody punching them... not so much.

If you want instant laughs and energy, I have to go with Happy Salmon. It's completely silly and quick, but the joy is infectious.

To sit down and puzzle over something that is easy to learn and causes laughter through fun frustration, I would go with Gravwell: Escape from the 9th Dimension or Medici or Stockpile. Win or lose, these games are always a fun experience because of the social interaction and uncertain results.

I needed a pick-me-up last night, and the copy of Dohdles! I just got turned out to be perfect.

On the other hand, the night before that, I played Captain Sonar, and while it was incredibly stressful, it was also a chance to forget everything outside the room I was in and enjoy working as a team with three other people. So I could see myself using that to cheer myself up too.
