Yeah, Fallout Vermin:]]

I was thinking something like co-op Talisman with separate tactical board for encounters and fights.

BTW here is the rat with the extra supply plate:

Sigh, I wish I could sculpt, or 3d model.

Going to do an Armadillo? Had a Gamma World character like that

Wow, that's a good idea. Perhaps a trader with a big backpack on his back...

I liked your idea so much that I started to make armadillo trader.
I think I'm gonna call him Vic, because fallout 2 had a trader with the same name. I like the reference. Unless anybody got better idea. (Sheldon or Shelly - that's a turtles name indeed!)

Having rough time using new kind of clay that I never used before... but im really exited by the way it starts to look!

Very nice, and if you're taking inspiration from the original 90s Fallout, I am SO down with that! Best post-appc series evarrrr.

If you need anothr character concept idea, I'm also partial to lizards

How will this game play?

Thank you, its so nice people still remember Fallout was a RPG, not a Oblivion clone...

You gave me a whole idea for the enemies. I will make them into desert animals in general. So yes there is a large spot for reptiles.

"Wasteland Scavengers"

The game is Co-op for 2-5 players. Each choose one of the five class:

Gunslinger (uses handguns and smgs, dual wield, basic hand to hand)
Fighter (heavy hand to hand, Tank like, throwing weapons)
Mechanic (separate gun platforms, drones, support class)
Tracker (Sniper rifle, stealth)
Twins (two characters that act as one. Hand to hand and ranged.Flexible setups of weapons and gear.

The party needs to find out the secret of the wasteland - where did all the animals came from and who created the rat pack.

There are two maps. World and tactical. Both Grid like. As you move trough the world you will draw fro encounter decks. There is a good and bad pile. You flip a good/bad luck coin to determine what comes your way. As you move you will find out locations of cities, quest goals etc, to witch you need to travel.

There are two sets of skills for each character.

Encounter skills (the one you use during battle)
World map skills (you use them to aid your travels on world map)

You can assign members of the team to different assignments during travels like
Scouting (allows to surprise enemies and prevents being ambushed)
Resource gathering (water, food, junk,)
Etc.

Each character has a number of personal quests that if solved give them extra abilities and gear. Better than the ones you get leveling and buying gear.

The battle is similar to games like Final Fantasy Tactics. You fight against gangs of different creatures ruling the wasteland.

The goal is to reach the center zone of the world map and find the Last Mans Cave where answers lie.

+1 on not an Oblivion clone. The new series is tainted, too bad Van Buren never happened.

First of all, dig the artistic talent. Had no idea one could go from idea to sketch to green that quick. How many hours did that take?

Game concept sounds interesting, but what's the mix of RPG, campaign, tactical skirmish? The world map vs. tactical map implemented as a board game doesn't pop up as much... video game RPGs do it all the time but only recent example was Planet Defiant.

It took me 3 days to put it all together, but I'm working on it between my regular work and other stuff.

I want some tactical element in the game, but I want it to be large scale, not a dungeon crawler. But I like the idea of locations being put together from segments.

What do you suggest? I'm not fixed on the gameplay mechanics yet.I am also open to an competitive aspect and versus mode with, lets say different gangs like Rats, Lizards, Weasel, Coyote etc.

Moving pawns on a world map to advance the metaplot is fine, and then if there's an encounter or key story mode zoom off to a tactical map. Even better if those plots are randomly generated!

I was actually thinking that. I watched Planet Defiant game play a little and that is exactly what I had in mind if it comes to tiles.

The encounters will be randomly generated. each encounter card will have three variants: light medium and heavy or a system of setting enemy numbers. Together with Ambush, Normal and Surprise it already gives 9 different setups. Adding formation difference, plus extra goals like protect the trader or hold the position for time it should give a nice range for random enemy encounters. I don't want to make battle the core of it, rather a equal part to the exploring and traveling/survival aspects. So there will be resource management, like Water and food. Some encounters will force you to spend water and food other will give you opportunity to use them as currency.

but the choice here is:

Doing world/tactical map - it needs to be coop, otherwise it will take too much time to resolve one encounter for each player.

Doing more advanced world map - takes away tactical aspect. bases only on skills and dice rolls. Allows versus and competitive game play.

I like this game theme and the concept, and just to throw in a suggestion on the "Twins" class as you called them above I envision (if you are going with desert theme animals) two teen jack rabbits. I see these characters as energetic and erratic in their behavior. Just a suggestions though ultimately its your game and your call obviously. I like what you have produced so far though, you have a knack for catchy and visually appealing miniatures.

Hey, thanx for chipping in!
All of the main characters are rats(it is the core of the story line). But I like the Rabbit idea too. As soon I'm done with the second rat(work in progress)I'll make one.

Very (original) Gamma World feel.

Will there be any snakes?

I had a character who was a mutant snake who'd lost her arms when young and instead had a pair of phantom telekinetic hands, and a potent hypnosis power, and an appetite for pesky scavengers...
