Hi there!

Let's assume this case:
Blitz Cooperation Scenario
3 players assaulting a level 8 city (4 enemies).
Enemies tokens distributed.
Combat outcome: not all enemies were defeated (2 enemies remains).

In our next turn, we decide to assault the city again, but only with 2 players.

The question: should we get 2 new enemies tokens to randomly distribute? should we distribute the 2 remaining enemies randomly? should we choose the enemies?

Please, advise. Reading the rules at page 11, I have the feeling that we shouldn't know the enemies that we'll fight and, in the case above, we know them.

Thank you!

Each player will get 1 enemy of the two left over. Once enemies are revealed, they dont change. You dont know which enemy each player will end up with, but you know what enemies are there.

When assaulting a city remember to -1 rep for every attack. To answer your question in regards to replenishing monster token's, you don't, the remaining monsters that are not defeated stay to fight another day. Also put a shield token of yours to which monsters you defeated in the city. This will affect who will be the leader once the city has fallen, the person with the most shields becomes the leader and gets the added benefits and extra VP at the end.

It's up to you and your friend on how you want to split up the remaining monsters.

hope this helps

So, we shuffle and randomly distribute the two remaining enemies.

Thank you, guys!

No need to shuffle, but if you want you can do that too. Doesn't say in the rule book that you need to randomly split the monsters during a city assault. You have the freedom to choose which monsters you want to fight. But keep in mind all monsters have to be accounted meaning one or more can't be left alone.

So it doesn't really matter how you split it, you can randomize it if you want or work it out with a plan with your buddy to see who can take what monster.

Quite the opposite actually.

All on page 11. Cooperative City Assault 3b:

Quote:
He [=acting player] proposes how to distribute the quantity of enemies in the city, i.e. how many enemies each player will face. Each player has to be assigned at least one enemy.

Cooperative City Assault 5:

Quote:
Then, shuffle and randomly distribute (without even looking at the reverse side) enemy tokens amongst the players, respecting the agreed numbers. (Imagine: You can agree how long a section of the city walls you will attack, but cannot predict which units will defend that part).

The rulebook says that when revealing the enemies the first time, this should be done randomly and without knowing which enemy was there.
Because of this I made the question, regarding the second wave of assaulting.
I think shuffling them makes more sense.
Thank you

If a site replenishes its enemies it says so on its site description card (example: spawning grounds). Sites do not automatically replenish enemies. Which is to say that cities do not replenish enemies. As per City site description card.

Enemies inside the city are revealed when a player is adjacent to the city, so you'll know what is inside before you assault, even the first time.

When you assault, enemies are shuffled and dealt out randomly according to the distribution you agreed on.

So you know which enemies are inside the city, and you know how many of them you have to fight, but you do not know WHICH of them will be assigned to you.
