Hi guys!

I'm a sucker for theme and right now I really want a Mars game, but just one!

What do you like best? Terraforming Mars or Mission Red Planet?

Thanks,

João

I much prefer Terraforming Mars, but then I'm a sucker for strong thematic alignment in my games.

Very different games. MRP is a much lighter, hidden role selection, area majority game. TM is a fairly heavy-ish game of card management and tableau building. I really enjoy both but feel TM is a better game for me as I like heavier games with more paths to victory. I have played TM six times in the past month (which is a remarkable statistic in itself) and each play has had a very different feel to it.

Completely different types of game. Both very good. I suggest you decide for yourself what type of game you want.

I've played both.

MRP is much lighter. Like Citadels with an area control mechanic.

TM is like RftG on steroids, with a board. Lots of iconography, resource management, engine building.
