I went with "Anywhere, it doesn't really matter to me." as I normally play at home or at a friend's house. I can also be found playing board games in the pub, work (not during work time, obviously!) or practically anywhere.

If I truly had to pick one location, though, it would be home. Where all my lovely board game filled Kallax is!

I either play at home or where game night is set for the week.

My local Board Game Library is definitely my favorite place to play. 2700+ games to choose from is always a good draw.

In addition to "where do you prefer to game" I'd also like to see a poll that asks "where do you do most of your gaming".

Home or somebody else's home. Both equally good. There's four people in my main game group, and we rotate hosting between three of us.

Pretty much don't game anywhere else, aside from a once-a-year mini-convention. Not as keen on game groups or stores as it's unpredictable what people you're going to play with. Although if I didn't already have gaming friends, I would still happily go that route.

Umm..."mancave?" I know quite a few female solo gamers.

That should just be "gamecave". Kind of like a batcave, but with slightly fewer super computers.

Home!

Especially if I'm playing Shadows of Brimstone - that game is too big to move.

And my fridge often has the best beer selection of the places I normally play... whistle

A toss up between home or someone else's home. Prefer to play with close friends. I gave the nod to someone else's - at my own I feel obligated to entertain and if people don't have THE BEST TIME EVER I feel bad.

1. The water gets too cold after the third round.

2. Every game is a Legacy game if you drop something.

3. Nobody wants to be the guy with the faucet poking him in the back during six player games.

...and there is always that guy that secretly brings a Baby Ruth and slyly drops it in.

"Anywhere" on planet Earth.

(But if I had to emigrate to Mars, I'd probably cope with playing there as well.)

There really should be. Pub is probably my second choice after home (since there are lots of games that are impractical to take to a pub or play at a pub. If I live a few doors down from a nice pub then gaming in a pub would be ideal.

My #1 is probably "Holiday cottage", because that means I'm on holiday and don't have to get up for work in the morning

Mostly at home with my two kids and sometimes my wife when she feels like joining in.

I also have a friend whose house I'll go to which is a lot of fun, but I haven't done it in a while.

I'm not really big on just going to a store or convention or something and playing with people I don't know. I'm not exactly big on social events.

my place isn't suitable for gaming... only one small table, not enough chair, it's a mess, and I could stand to vacuum more.

I choose someone else's place. More intimate, you can leave your stuff lying around, don't have to worry about getting kicked out, and even though food isn't always readily available, you're not forced to buy food you may not like.
