So we are going through the rebel upgrade stage in preparation for the final mission of Twin shadows and one of the item options is the ancient lightsaber from the Obi-wan expansion. This gives attack dice which are the same number and colour as your insight pool. Well I am playing Murne Rin and this would give a green, yellow and a blue. Is there any reason she could not use this weapon, Murne not being a jedi (as far as we know)?

Can anybody use that weapon? Does the character have to be one of the jedi (Diala and Davith) or can we just assume Murne was keeping her jedi training a secret?

Anyone can use it. It's just a weapon without requirements for any trait in the hero using it.

And for some characters the Ancient Lightsaber gets better when the figure gets wounded (Murne being one of them).

I like the idea of Murne turning out to be force-sensitive. It makes the whole false orders mechanic make more sense, its a jedi mind trick.

It's totally plausible within the Star Wars universe for a non-Jedi/Sith to use a lightsaber. Finn used one. Pre Vizsla used a darksaber. General Grievous used up to 4 lightsabers at once. None of these characters are considered to be force sensitive. They were just highly trained warriors.

In the old Star Wars RPG, anyone could use a lightsaber, but obvioulsy Jedi were much more effective. Also, it took being force sensitive and trained to make your lightsaber block another lightsaber...otherwise it just passed straight through...

Last campaign I played, Loku got it for the finale and cut down enemies left and right with it. Nothing's more terrifying than a Mon Cal sniper with a lightsaber.
