I'm sure many people much smarter than me have "won" the solo game by scoring 30 points, but just curious.

I just played the first time and scored minus-6 points.

I got a really low score in my first game. I can't remember what it was but it taught me not to underestimate Solo Taxes lol. You really have to make sure every tile you take is worth it. My best score is 29. Loving the solo game.

Yes, a couple of night ago I beat it, with a fairly good score of 43. The other scoring mechanism was Sprawl (I think that's the name, it's the one that you get points for having tiles that touch only one other tile). That, and I snagged a ton of good red tiles before Red or Spot took them.

Only victory, though...

I beat it in my first game with a great score in the 50's. I thought well this is really easy. Then I played again and got crushed. In the 2nd game, I also highly underestimated the tile tax.

My first three games were below average until I realized I was forgetting the lap scoring. First game with lap scoring and Sprawl I scored 45 points. Definitely be wary of taking every available tile.

17 points, first solo game. Took way too many tiles.

Several times so far, once I figured out a few things... with the help of the games creator. One suggestion I was given when having trouble scoring is to manage which tiles you are grabbing from the table. Don't take every tile available to you; those end game taxes will destroy a lot of your gains. My first game with the "Sprawl" end game scoring condition ended with a final score of -15 with 24 tiles in my blueprint.

Some end game scoring conditions I've been more successful with than others. My top scores are with "Redundancy", 63 and 56 points, "Sufficiency" at 34 points, and "Sprawl", with 45 and 33 points. The end scoring conditions I'm having the most difficulty with currently is "Scarcity" (scoring 19) which makes sense considering it's score is dependent on how you manage your "Independence" lap scoring and "Mobility" (scoring 21 and 19 after two games).

Also, don't make my first mistake and forget to perform lap scoring. Your first solo game score is much better than mine; -5.

My first solo was 12 points with Focus. I was very aware of the tax and only ended up with 12 tiles. But I think my focus on star tiles hindered me from building a good engine. I need to try again with a different end scoring tile.
