Why 2 and not 3 Cards? The reporter stays on a 3-size Story space
You've spotted a typo ... the the example should read:
Example: Brian has a reporter on the 2-size Story space.
He spends (discards) two Business News cards, each with a
photo icon. So he claims the matching Story tile (2-size). He
could, alternatively, have played a single photo News card
and two photo cuttings to claim the Story.
Chris is partly right: a 2-size story earns your 3 CPs, but that is not what the example is meant to be showing here.
