Hi, i'm hoping someone on here is a whizz with this sort of thing because i really have no idea where to start.

I am building my site on Wordpress using a free theme. The theme is pretty customizable, but i do not have the skills required to do something.

I am wanting to change the main content area background colour from white, to slightly transparent white (So you can see the texture of the back ground slightly). You can see what i mean here: http://factions.rtez.uk/

Can anyone help? I have 6 geek gold, some string, and a button if you can help me

Terry,
Here's what you'd do:

Go to your site in a browser like Firefox or Chrome and right-click on your white background area. Click the 'inspect element' button and you should get some thing like

<div class="yourclasshere">

Copy that classname and navigate to Wordpress' custom css page (you need to have a pro plan to do this: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/). There, enter in the following

.yourclasshere { background:rgba(255,255,255,0.9) }

That will produce a background that's 90% opaque. You can adjust the 0.9 as needed to raise/lower the transparency.

hope that helped!
