This is my attempt to clarify and write down the objectives of each Quest. My purpose is to be able to understand when a Quest ends with success, at a glance. Please feel free to post any comments/corrections/suggestions.

Stolen Treasure: Clear the tile and choose whether to help Talek Three Dunes.
For glory and Honor: Clear the tile keeping Marcus alive.

A Desperate Act: Heroes must survive 4 HC.
Just-Okay Hunt: Save at least 1 fighter and kill at least 8 minions, in 3 HC.

Light the Fires: Remove all 4 torch tokens in 10 DC.
Ready to Rescue: Clear the tile in 5±x HC (special rules for x)
The Hand of Darkness: Defeat all enemies but the Mini Boss, keeping each hero’s threat below 5 at the end of each HC.

Set the Trap: Try to defeat all enemies (not remove them). You should defeat at least 10 enemies.
Bait & Switch: Remove all 6 Quest tokens and defeat the Mini Boss.

Lucy’s Doll: Find Lucy’s doll and clear the tile.
Lucy’s Troubles: Save Lucy in 5 HC.
A Father’s Grief: Kill Lucy’s father and clear the tile.

So I'm having problems with understanding a few quest cards verbiage. I'll list them individually.

Quest Name: The Parish Gates
Confusing Verbiage (Quest Results Section): You may move 1 fighter token in either Father’s space to this card.

Does this mean, the fathers have to move to the non-moving fighter tokens, one by one, and they are allowed to stand on the same space as the fighter? Once they stand on the same space, the fighters then are placed on the quest card during the quest results portion of the refresh phase?

My confusion stems from the following:
-I thought characters weren't allowed to stand on the same space. Right?
-How is the darkness expelled from the fighters? I would think the Father's would have to perform some sort of action (i.e. prayer in the form of a courage or persuasion test) to resolve the status.

Sure I understand getting them there is a challenge, but it seems like healing the dark fighters is a gimmie.

Quest Name: A Desperate Act

OK, so this one threw me because I didn't understand the reasoning behind putting 4 gold coins on the card, as the instructions indicate. After reading the summary that Kostas points out (just now) it makes sense, but there's nothing on the card that indicates the gold represents hero cycles. I wonder if this is mentioned anywhere in the guide.

There are plenty of other areas of this game that are extremely confusing, and I feel like I can only understand how to play this game by reading other materials elsewhere, online to get a grasp of what to do.

I really do like the concept of this game, but if the instructions or descriptions are this blurry, it quickly adds a layer of frustration that really draws away from the greatness this game could have been. I have no plans of abandoning this game, especially with the amount of time and money I've already sunk into it. This is more just a vent and a plea for some clarity into a very confusing set of instructions.

Yeah,.... using gold coins really does confuse the things.

When the quests were revised for "2.0" and give a new format; it really gave a great ability to put better book keeping measures in place for counting cycles and the like,... unfortunately; there would bee no new tokens for the "2.0" revision; so they were left with what was in the box,.... for some reason; gold was selected in this case.

In the future; I'd rather see the use of some sort of cycle counter tokens

It's a special rule for this quest.

It seems that such an action is auto-perfomed at Quest Results phase, when a Father is already standing into a space containing a fighter token.

Your goal is to clear the tile having 1 quest token on each edge, except the starting starting one (total 3 quest tokens)

You can place a quest token on an edge, if at the Quest Results step of the Refresh phase, a hero is standing on the edge and increases their threat by 1. Then you should roll as many FD as the quest tokens placed on the tile. For each Darkness result, you remove a quest token
