I started thinking about what might look good and started shopping. Strangely have a difficult time for a few basic ones I thought would be easy to find.
Asenath Waite:
I spotted this at a convention this past weekend. The shield and the crest are separate pieces. The spear can be clipped off. Makes for a great Asenath Waite mini.
http://arenarex.com/products/medusa

Crawford Tillinghast:
I'm not sure if I should look for a scientist type mini for this or not. Open to suggestions.

Ermengarde Stubbs:
I'm thinking just some Victorian era lady mini, or maybe a peasant woman mini. I've never read that story, so let me know if I'm off track and feel free to make suggestions.

Herbert West:
Holy crap, I expected this one to be easy. All I wanted was a mad scientist mini with glasses, no facial hair and not bald. I'm partial to the 1980s movie, so that's the basic image I had in my head. I only found two minis fitting that very basic bill. One literally had Elvis hair and the other was perfect...and out of production. I found two for sale on Ebay and picked one of them up.
http://www.modiphius.com/uploads/1/4/0/6/14062642/810748_ori...

Keziah Mason:
All I want is an old crone witch miniature that doesn't have the damned cone hat. I can't find one. If anyone has a link to one, please let me know. I thought this would be an easy one.

Lavinia Whately:
I haven't much looked into this one yet. I guess some waify looking gal mini. Open to suggestions and links.
Just found this possible:
http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=miranda~hfh030&categor...

Pitpipo:
I have no clue where to start. Please let me know your ideas and why.

Joseph Curwen:
I'm thinking some revolutionary war era civilian, probably well to do looking. Not sure who might sell these.

I'm sure you could find 8 appropriate minis from among the Arkham Horror investigator figures.

Based on popular conceptions,
(that is to say: google images of the names, "averaged" for appearance)
I think I'd look at using...

...for Asenath Waite:

http://eurekaminusa.com/collections/civilians-jazz-band-danc...
(Eureka's 28mm 'Bessie Smith' Jazz singer
but any of the Flappers would work, I expect:
http://eurekaminusa.com/collections/civilians-jazz-band-danc...
Slightly better might be the middle fig here
http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store...
or bottom left
http://pulpfigures.com/products/view/18
or any of these:
http://eurekaminusa.com/collections/civilians-victorian-figu...

...for Crawford Tillinghast:
The far left fig here:
http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store...
or any of the three on the left (below) would do in a pinch (top two, bottom one), IMO
http://pulpfigures.com/products/view/23

... for Herbert West:
Yeah, that Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish is probably the best...
Next best is likely
http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store...
As an alternate, maybe ('though you'd have to trim the beard):
http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/scientist/latest/50046

...for Keziah Mason, hmmm... Yah; Tough one!
maybe
http://eurekaminusa.com/collections/pax-limpopo-28mm/product...
or
https://www.perry-miniatures.com/product_info.php?products_i...
or
http://www.armorcast.com/old-crone
or (probably my favorite from what I've found so far)
http://otherworldminiatures.co.uk/shop/npc-series-non-player...
or (a stretch, but)
http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/female%20mage/sku-down...
I'm sure we could do better: someone makes 28mm Amish...
maybe the far-left fig here...?
http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store...

...for Lavinia Whately, I do like that Hasslefree fig you found.
alternates might include:
http://hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=problem-child-alice~hfa027...
or
http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/vampire/sku-down/03730
or (VCoo5 upper left or upper right)
http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/our-ranges/victorians/victori...
or
http://hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=fu%252duk-alice~hfa029&cat...
or (a stretch, but)
http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/maiden/sku-down/03352#...
or the far right fig here (along w/ our middle fig for Aesenath)
http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store...

... for Joseph Curwen? plooosh; I dunno, man!
That is a tougher one to find,,,,
maybe something from
http://legends-in-time.com/WordPress/french-ind-war-american...
(but way too expensive for one cherry-picked figure!)
hmm... How about: AHA!! Dante the Cruel
http://www.castingroomminiatures.com/collections/undead/prod...

... for Pitpipo, I'd let him tell us what he would want his name-sake to look like, but I'd nominate Pasha Moustasha Ali
quote "a dashing fez combined with a stunning stash can only make a man cooler than cool."
That has "Priest Pitpio" written all over it to me...

Oh, so...?
Well. I suppose maybe

(though you may prefer
http://northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=8839 )

(...but I still vote for Pasha Moustasha Ali, even if I need to 'paint in' the beard !!!)

Mr Diener...you are da bomb!
Thank you for all the useful links and suggestions. I have a LOT more direction for shopping now.
Dante the Cruel for Joseph Curwen is about decided for me already. Just gotta see what it'll cost from England or if I can get him out of the US.

Possible for Ermengarde Stubbs:

On the right.

I'm kind of liking this one more for Ermengarde Stubbs now:
http://www.fantization.com/sarahtheseeress.aspx

She looks like a better combo of the literary character and what is supposed to be a priest of a cult.

Here's one that could work for Asenath, Ermengarde or Lavinia:

For Keziah Mason:
This mini is probably male (hard to tell from the name), but it could pass for female and at least has a wrinkly excessively old person face:
http://www.fantization.com/Estra_Iconic_Spiritualist_Pathfin...

The cane also goes with the literary description of Keziah with a messed up back and the robe and stuff is close enough to pass for 17th century clothes of a haggard person.

So here's where I'm at on my personal quest to get unique minis for the unique high priests:
Asenath Waite:
http://arenarex.com/products/medusa

Crawford Tillinghast:
This was a bit of a compromise, but it was available on the site I was ordering other stuff from:
http://www.fantization.com/pre-ordermay2011-karlaanimeheroin...

Ermengarde Stubbs:
http://www.fantization.com/sarahtheseeress.aspx

Herbert West:
This is the perfect mini for him.
http://www.modiphius.com/uploads/1/4/0/6/14062642/810748_ori...

Keziah Mason:
This one was unexpectedly hard to get. All I wanted was some old crone witch mini looking like the old lady deadite from the Evil Dead movies. Something without the danged cone hat. What I ennded up with is possibly a male mini, but it'll do:
http://www.fantization.com/search.aspx?find=estra

Lavinia Whately:
I bought two possibles for this one as I couldn't make up my mind. Both are great in their own way. The reason I'm iffy on the ghost version is that it starts to look something similar to the Asenath waite mini
http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=miranda~hfh030&categor...
http://www.fantization.com/search.aspx?find=luiren

Pitpipo:
There is nothing defined here. I liked the suggestion for the Turk guy with a fez becasue fez's are awesome. That's $15 for that mini, so I looked around further. I decided to go Voodoo and ended up with this:
http://www.fantization.com/search.aspx?find=dr+voodoo

Joseph Curwen:
Diener is a bad person (not really) for making this suggestion. Because it's fargin' PERFECT and only sold in a set from England! Oh why did you do this to me? I've emailed them to see if they would sell me just the Dante the Cruel mini and not the whole set.
http://www.castingroomminiatures.com/collections/undead/prod...

So far everything is on the way or here except the Joseph Curwen mini.

I've found some more candidates:
http://www.oldgloryminiatures.com/products.asp?cat=535

Of particular interest I see the Scientist and Priest from Box-3 (Frankenstein)
and almost every fig in Box2 (Vampire scenario).
Lotsa good possibilities in the whole line!

Asenath Waite: Fenris Games produces a figure they call the "Queen Succubus" but really it's the Asenath Waite figure sans tentacles.

While obviously awesome, that's unfortunately the wrong scale to go with the other game piece minis.
