Has anybody used the Mayday chimera sleeves? I got the green standard size and they are a little big.

Those are not going to work, they will be way too skinny, and your cards will never fit in them.

Ah that's a shame. Thanks though. Maybe I'll just up to premium, those are little more rigid, at least.

The FFG ones are just too expensive for big card commitments like this, IMHO.

Thanks!

I'm a big fan of the Mayday Green Premiums. I use them for a bunch of games, and I put my AH:LCG cards in them and would say they fit perfectly. Sometimes I get a pack that is a little bit shorter, but at this point I have so many games and sleeves, I have a few games that can be in the "shorter" version and others in the "longer" version, and even if a game mixes them both, it's not a large enough difference to be impactful. Especially since I'll never remember which specific cards are in which size sleeve. So I recommend them, especially since you can typically get them at a nice discount compared to the FFG ones.

The cards are 'mtg' sized, so you have a lot of options for sleeving.

Personally I like the price/quality point of UltraPro ProMatte.

Are they 66x91mm? Isn't there a lot of space around the card edges?

I like the idea of matte though. You do get a lot of glare off sleeves.

They are indeed 66x91mm.

There is a little space as the Arkham Horror cards are slightly narrower than most 'mtg' sized cards, however it is of the order of around 2.5-3mm.

Not enough to be problematic during play.

I picked up a pack of the FFG Grays to try and there's way to much space at the top for me. Thanks for the Ultra Pro pic - I may grab those instead. I've had my eye on the Clear Dragon Shields, however...

Dragon Shields are really nice - slightly better quality than UltraPro, but usually at a higher price.

If you can find Dragon Shield Clear Mattes for less than you can find UltraPro ProMatte Clear then I say go for the Dragon Shields, otherwise go UltraPro.

I would use Dragon Shield if I could afford them!

EDIT: Please excuse the quote fail!

Thanks for the pic Scott!

I've got them in mayday standard sleeves at the moment, and it looks like there is a similar amount of free space around the edges anyway, so naybe the Mayday ones are the same size.

Mayday 'green' standard sleeves are nominally the same size, but when I used them in the past I always found even the premium thickness to be a looser fit than the UltraPros I now use.
