Xeno Invasion was terrific, and I would love to see another set for the Xeno arc. I'd also be fine with another one-off expansion too if more Xeno just isn't in the proverbial cards.

Any word of more RftG out there?

We're working on a number of products.

JumpDrive (out soon)
New Frontiers (hinted at by publisher in an interview) (out next)
products 1, 2... (unannounced)
more stuff (beyond this)

How much gets done next year depends on the artists' schedules, production issues, how fast we finish testing and tweaking some products, etc.

When things get further through the pipeline, we'll let you know.

Any news on whether or not Xeno Invasion for Keldon's AI will be released? Quite a bit of a long shot, but I'd figure I'd use this chance to inquire if there were any plans to make a digital version of Roll For The Galaxy :\



Interesting and exciting product directions! Jump Drive IIRC will be a "RftG lite" game, while New Frontiers will be the bg version of the franchise (which sort of got started with AA's Orb scenario, but a full fledged bg would open up new mechanics and theme!).

A podcast mentioned that RftG ended up taking elements from Puerto Rico, San Juan, and an unpublished sci-fi CCG. However, AFAIK, CCGs are more difficult to get into the market these days, so perhaps that's for the better?

Serge (?) has been doing some live streams on twitch using Keldon's AI and has been playing the Xeno invasion. I think it's a Beta version not available for the general public yet, but soon(tm).

I remember a thread on improving the AI that veered into speculation about adding the Orb Game to AA, and thinking that Invasion would be a plausible addition, while I didn't think the Orb would be.

Yep - love 'mining' as a mechanism. I'd love to see a brown push in an expansion.

Though I think Colony Ship saw a surge in value in AA.

Interesting - I felt it was less valuable. Yes there are some expensive worlds added, but if I can afford it I'd rather have Terraforming Project and put down a cheap world and an expensive one. Getting down two worlds that can be used in a consume engine in a single settle phase can be amazing. The settle discounts also make Colony Ship a bit less valuable. I may be undervaluing Colony Ship in AA though.

It doesn't matter what you want. Tom Lehman has repeatedly asked for people not to post variants where he might accidentally see them, as it causes all sorts of legal problems for him.

I'm assuming that you don't want to cause issues, so, please, delete your posts so far, and re-post in the Variants subforum.

I could've worded this more precisely.
I was inquiring about:
1) When XI would be available

By the way, are source versions of card images kept somewhere ? For example Xeno Invasion without Invasion mode, Alien Artifacts without the ORB, still have the extra symbols displayed on the cardboard in cardboard version. If official digital version of Race is ever released, I imagine the "fancy mode" icons would be toggleable, and only visible when playing in fancy mode. This would be especially beneficial for XI, which has cluttered Settle row on most cards. That would be smart usage of computer technology instead of straightforward conversion.

I agree, but unfortunately we are not in a position to negotiate changes to artwork in this way.

I don't find it too difficult to ignore powers when playing AA & RvI. One advantage of having the powers on even when the module is off is that you learn which cards have orb/takeover/xeno powers so it's easier when you play with that module.
