I just received my KS copy today. I'm excited to try it over Thanksgiving with my children and my parents. I just read through the rules. The only question I had was:

What happens to Goblin tiles that are revealed during a player's Escape phase turn (either by themselves or by an opponent that shouted "Goblins!")?

I think the options are, in order of likelihood:

1. Removed from the game.
2. Put back in the Caves face down.
3. Put back in the Caves face up.
4. Shuffled back into the Mountain.
5. None of the above.

Which is it? Thanks in advance.

Great question! #3 is the correct answer, but #1 would also be appropriate.

Hope you enjoy it!

If that's the case, then, after the first Goblins tile is revealed, anyone can automatically, successfully call "Goblins!" on any opponent in the Escape phase for the remainder of the game. Is that the intention?

I play with your option #1, i.e. that the card is discarded, as I agree with your comment that it makes calling Goblins too easy!

However, it does state in the rulebook that the Goblin caller ahould flip a card to reveal a goblin, not just pick a face-up card. In which case the face-up Goblin cards lie there in the caves redundant, albeit as flavourful decoration...

Would like to hear the designer's comment on this.

This is a neat game, by the way, a nice advance on Memory and much loved by my kids!
