Down your way there, I would highly recommend www.germangames.com. They are based in Kitchener and don't seem to mind arranging local pick-up if you want to avoid shipping costs.

I don't know of any in Guelph, but I'd check out J&J Cards and Collectables in Waterloo (230 Weber St. N.). Selection is quite good.

I'm really not sure on Guelph- but if you get the opportunity to make it into Toronto, the store with the cheapest prices is 401 Games on Yonge, south of College on the East side. http://www.401games.ca/ I buy most of my board games, collectible minis and mainstream RPG books there.

A larger boardgame selection, with usually higher prices, is the Hairy Tarantula - also on Yonge, in between College and Dundas - on the West side of the street. It's on the upper level and you need to look closely for the stairs that lead up to the store. http://www.hairyt.com/

Closer to Guelph, in Brampton, is the Comic Warehouse: http://www.thecomicwarehouse.com/ They have good prices, good selection of just about anything you might want from a hobby game store.

If miniatures are your thing, one of the best historical miniatures shops on planet earth is in the West end of Toronto at Crossed Swords. http://www.iprimus.ca/~treadhead/directory/35.html They have a selection of AH waragmes as well that is well worth checking out.

Other Toronto Hobby Shops can be viewed here: http://www.iprimus.ca/~treadhead/directory/

I still regret picking up that copy of Mississippi Queen when I saw it for sale at The Dragon on Wyndham St back when I was in school in 2000-2001 or so. Back then I wasn't hellbent on collecting SdJ winners like I am these days... the main thing is that I had an onion tied to my belt.

Now I haven't been back since, so I don't know what they have for *board* games specifically... but they might order stuff for you if you can't make it to all the terrific game stores in Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge.
