So, you can evade Ruth, in order to place her into the victory display.

My question is, would playing Elusive to disengage from her qualify for this?

I was thinking no, since it is not specifically evade, but I am far from sure here.

Disengage is only an element of the 'evade' action, so no. I feel pretty certain about that one. You could however throw a Stray Cat at her face.

No, its not Evade.

(Playing Cunning Distraction to automatically "Evade" and get past her high difficulty certainly would though, she doesn't ask you to succeed at a hard check, just to "Evade")

No, disengage does not equal evade, if it did the card would say evade rather than disengage.

You disengage (and exhaust) an enemy when you successfully evade them

Thank you!

I guess, that is the "disadvantage" of Elusive also... that it does not actually evade and thus does not exhaust the enemy.
