This is probably more of a question for Tristan, but in case anyone else knows the answer, on the KS main page it lists that the Wooden Token upgrade was unlocked during the KS, however the images hide some of the stretch goal text, does this mean that more than just the hearts and gold are now wooden pieces?

Hey Andrew, you can see a breakdown of the components in the rulebook which is available here on BGG:

http://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/69277/gloom-kilforth-fanta...

But basically here's the list:

This rulebook
25 Location cards
4 Ancient cards
4 Ancient Abilities cards
24 Plot cards
8 Race cards
8 Class cards
32 Skill cards (8 in each of 4 types)
25 Night cards
24 Saga cards (3 for each saga)
82 Encounter cards
72 Reward cards
16 Enemy tokens (4 for each hero)
82 Loot tokens
1 First Hero marker
8 Hero standees (+4 spares included)
6 Six-sided dice
1 Loot bag

And here are the wooden tokens:

16 Fate tokens
4 Hidden tokens
60 Gold tokens
30 Action Point tokens
30 Health Point tokens
24 Obstacle tokens

No probs - it's definitely worth having a peek at the rules, Andrew - lots of lovely art spoilers in there too.

Haha, we've come a long way...

Also, those quantity numbers may be subject to very slight changes, but only upwards.

Wait, what? You've changed from cardboard chits? When was this decision made and what clique of politically correct anti-cardboard totalitarians blackmailed you into doing it? I demand you reverse this in the name of freedom of speech.

You weren't wrong! That rulebook and those art images really fill me with excitement for the game!

Looking forward to more updates as the months pass!

Maybe by the time the expansion Kickstarter rolls around we'll have some more news on the art book too.

For me it's a pity, that your game got so many wooden tokens I really like cardboard tokens, they are so much more immersive. You look at them, and you mostly know immediately, what they are used for. Wooden tokens are just usual. You can use them for nearly any euro-style game. Darkest Night for example is such an atmospheric game with so many lovely cardboard tokens. And apart from this, I think, that these colorful cubes just not fit the theme of your game.

But anyway, I will support your game for sure. You did great work and I just can't wait to hold the box in my hands

Hey Sören, every design decision like this is a crossroads, where you please some and/or disappoint others, but in showing the pre-production copy around the cool wooden tokens are often what people go nuts for. There is also a metric tonne of lovely cardboard tokens in there too so hopefully your immersion won’t be too negatively impacted. Thanks for your support in any case.

The art style of your game in general is totally amazing, so I'm sure, the wooden tokens won't be that great immersion breaker. Just love it, when all components of a game are in a similar art design. But I have to admit, that I did see a newer unboxing video in the december update just after your post blush And these shaped tokens looked much better than these cubes in the previous (prototype) video.

Not 100% satisfied, but I can definitley live with that more than with the cubes

Heh, okay, well yes - a whole lot has changed since that old prototype... No cubes, I promise!

I think the art and components look awesome. Dying to get this to the table. Now all we need to do is increase the designer by 20% to stay in line with the upgraded wooden components.

Well, after my Christmas binging a 20% size increase is probably not far off the truth! Although the components actually got a 50% increase... cool
