For the last two months or so I've been on a bit of a buying spree for Armada. I'm trying to acquire enough ships to run The Corellian Conflict for six players. I've put together a pretty comprehensive list of ships so far but I'm not sure that it will be adequate for all six players. Please take a look and let me know where you think I might be lacking. FYI, all six players will be playing at the same time. Thanks!

Huge...........................
I would add 1 or 2 MC30, same thing for MKII. I remembered that in wave 2, the fleet counting 3 MKII won several tournaments in France. It's a multi tasks ship.

Concerning the wave 5, you'll need more ships, these little new ships could be played as a wolf pack, especially the new Imperial light cruiser : it has red dice, and 2 evasion tokens, I think Vader as commander will be very usefull with these cheap ships in a fleet. It's the "Imperial CR90".

I think it will be the same thing for your Rebels and Imperial squadrons packs. The Z-95 gets the keyword "Swarm", it costs 7 pts (TIE is at 8). If you'd like to play it as a swarm, you'll need for only one fleet about 5 or 6 squadrons. So, add more squadron packs, especially for Rebels.

So, that's I would do
You have an amazing collection. I'd like to see a picture of it!

I was thinking that I might need to bump up to six MC30 and six MKII for more fleet variety. The Wave 5 list is just there as a placeholder. I'll get more than two of each.

We are also talking about running the mother of all space battles at some point as well. I'm probably more excited to do that than the campaign.

My son and I are planning to do some Armada when I get home this morning. I will try to remember to line everything up for a picture. Rebs on one side and Imps on the other.

It would be great.
You should make a post, telling the way you played this mother space battle, with few pictures. It would be very interesting.
Have fun!

Ok, so here's a picture of most of it. Some of what I had listed is still on the way here from Coolstuff. The ships with a • next to them are what I'm waiting for.

My next order will be three MC30, three AF Mk II, and maybe a few more Rogues & Villains.

Wow, that's a lot of ships sir. If I plan on playing with just two people around how many ships should I have? My plan was on two of everything.

It depends the way you buy your ships. If you order all the figs you want in one order, yes, having 2 of each (except the Interdictor and the Home One, 1 is enough), it's quite good to start the game.
It would be better to get 3 Gladiator, 3 Raiders, 3 CR-90.

If you don't have the money to get all of them in one shot, I suggest you first buy the ships you'd like to play. You have to test the ships, the way to play each ship, squadrons, cards... then you'll be able to decide which one you'll get later

It's hard to say without seeing the full ruleset, but I think you'd probably need more than just the Core set, though I doubt you'd really need quite as much stuff as the OP has

Well I used black Friday to buy one of each ship (not including core set) of wave 1 & 2, plus the Interdictor. So I have more than just the core set.

However I get the impression the campgain is supposed to end with a massive battle between the fleets of 6 players or something like that. And I don't have enough ships for that..

The Coat of Arms of Clan Montgomery - Scotland. Yes, that's a woman with the head of a savage in her hand, and an anchor. No clue what it means, but it's cool.

We'll have to wait for the rules and see . . . I'm curious, too. I would expect that the unique squadrons and upgrades will apply across your entire force, but other than that, the amount of points you'll need should hopefully be kept to 400 points or less per battle, and in that case, it's just a matter of having enough ships for a variety of fleets.

But until the rules are released, it's simply not clear.

It is playable with 2, you may just need to conduct 3 different battles a round per the deployment rules (so realistically you should be fine).

I think the 3 battles per round are for 6 people?
I think 6-700 points per faction would be plenty for the campaign, enough to build two different fleets with a bit of overlap in ships- both Imperial fleets might use the same ISD model, but won't be playing at the same time.

So is the 'The Corellian Conflict' unplayable if I only have one of each ship expansion and two of each fighter expansion through Wave III?

1 x ISD
2 x VSD
2 x Neb B
2 x CR-90
etc...

This question is part of the reason I haven't pre-ordered it yet. I have 1 core set, 1 of most of the expansions (2 of a couple ships, but not hte fighters) through Wave III.

This looks like an interesting campaign system, but for me to really be interested it will need to be:

- Viable for 2 players (my daughter and I)
- Without having a bajillion ships.

I've looked at what info I can find for the Corellian Conflict, but I haven't seen anything that makes me think you need a ton of ships. If you needed to, you could have three fleets that all start out with the exact same ships barring uniques.

Wait a bit more until they release info to let us all know for sure, but don't worry about it.

Based on what I've read, you can likely buy the Conflict campaign, and setup 3 fleets / side with ships you currently own. If you play each battle one at a time, you won't need a ton of ships. This could easily be a way to figure out which ships you would like to add to your collection as well.

I have 1 of everything sold, I suspect I will be fine for the most part but may need to pick up a few of the smaller ships. There also isn't any reason you couldn't start fleets at 300 points. Again, all of this is before having a look at any rules yet.

And it just keeps growing. I'm really looking forward to the next wave coming out.

One downside is how long it's taking to sleeve everything and how many sleeves I've had to buy. The local shops are perpetually sold out lately.

Token management is also a real problem. I need to find one or two Plano boxes that will separate and store all of the tokens, dice, counters, dials, range markers, maneuver tools, cards, etc. for every ship and core set that I've bought.

A solution for ship transport was my original concern, but I've given up on that for the time being. It'd look like I was going on vacation if I tried to move everything.

Realistically you will never need more than 7 of a given command token and 6-7 objective tokens. more than 10 command dials is also quite uncommon, 12 and 6 speed dials will do you just fine 99% of the time.

The rest just gets chucked in a bag. same goes for most defense tokens, double down on brace and redirects though. Maybe evades.

I realize I don't need all if it, but, I will have to provide everything for six people at a time as I am the only one who has the game and ships.

so double the above and make a token box of each, dials are best just bagged regardless and their need does not change throughout the game. You learn to travel this stuff pretty smooth once you've had to a bunch, but it is amusing watching the tourney crowd shuffle in.
