Hi
If I draw a scheme twist or master mind do I draw another villain straight away?
I have the situation where there is no villains in the city, all been killed and have drawn one of the above,so had no villains to kill that turn.
Am I missing something here?
Only played game 3 times up to now,but seems a bit easy so far.

No, unless asked for by the mastermind or the scheme.

The base game is easy most of the time and a lot of people say you need to add Legendary: Dark City to get a "normal" difficulty.

If you want a good challenge, try Loki + scheme Legacy virus + heroes of the class that triggers Loki's ability.

also of note, some of the rules are different for solo play, and Dark City also adds 'advanced solo' rules, one of which requires you to play another card after playing a Master Strike

but again, this is only for solo

and as mentioned above, the base game can be quite easy, but it gets a lot more difficult with expansions. there are a few options in the base game to make things harder:

add more scheme twists (up to 3 extra twists)
add extra attack to the mastermind (up to +5)

find heroes who don't work well at fighting the current villains/mastermind, such as no Tech heroes against Dr. Doom, no X-Men against Magneto, or no Strength heroes against Loki

Thanks for that.
But is it right that sometimes we have no villains to fight in the city?

Yep! That sometimes will happen, especially early in the game.

Also, welcome to the group!
