This old card game is perfectly playable with the original instructions of the notorious party game THE RESISTANCE: AVALON, with little adaptations, having the same theme.

Merlin is here called "King Arthur".

Loyal servants of arthur: Five blue "monsters" (knights). Include a particular one who will be King Arthur (so named instead of Merlin).

The guy at the right could be ... King Arthur

Evil ways of Mordred: Five yellow "monsters" (witches, or other monsters if you prefer). One in particular will be the "assassin" (previously identified by players, like King Arthur card).

The original Merlin (here King Arthur) and Assassin cards

Leader token: white Merlin card, or a grey token.

5 success and failure cards: white (success) and black (failure) tokens, to be played hidden (face down = Ravensburger logo)
Also, who owns these tokens will be part of the proposed adventure team (no need of team tokens, leader will simply consign the b/w tokens).

Vote tokens: any other colored token that will be played without hiding identity but at the same time, so face up=approve / face down (Ravensburger logo)=reject

Score Tableau: Instead of using it, to mark every finished arthurian adventure put on the table one adventure card: flip it face up if it was a success, leave it face down if it was a failure.
The leader can also describe the adventure before deciding the team (ex. the sacred Graal is ...)

You could use also the gamebox as a Tableau, putting in the five spaces face up or down tokens...

Hope you'll enjoy; if it becomes real fun, consider to buy the original; this variant is intended to test the game before buying it...
