Idea for a future expansion - instead of abstract clue tokens, how about clue cards based on the location you are in? We would love even more rpg-light so in the study, for example, you find interior clues, such as a book, a paper, a hair, a . . .. Outside, you might find, exterior clues. They could even have slight variability (lose a supply/gain a supply/lose a card/gain a card).

Not sure I follow.

So when you gain a clue, depending on location, you draw a card from a certain deck? That counts as a clue AND has a special ability?

Seems to strong like that. also more clutter to keep track of.

The trick then will be to somehow make it thematically consistent that you can use the same clue to advancing the act deck, or spend it to pay for effects of an encounter cards, or for Cover Up, etc.

Clue tokens are abstract, which allows the players to come up with explanations for these interactions, if they want to. More concrete clues would make it all the more difficult.
