Can Overlord units attached to the same tile combine their attack rolls when they are all attacking the same hero?

No, each attack is resolved individually. This makes it quite hard for a weak unit to wound an armored hero, in most scenarios those units are best used to hinder and slow heroes instead.

No. Each attack action (for heroes and the OL), and accompanying defense, must be resolved to completion before continuing to the next action. The rules do not account for combining attacks.

Heroes can generally ignore weak minions, but the beauty in hitting them a bunch of times is that even with an attack that only does 1 damage, the hero still has to roll to avoid the damage. A good hit might get them to burn gems on defense, and even a weak hit could get through if the armor roll comes up a bust.

But no, you don't combine them. They're wieners. They're supposed to miss and then get their heads chopped off.
