I've been reading the description of what you get for the extra $80 in the collector's edition, and only finding:

- up to 4 bonus foil achievement bonus drinks
- RDI5 promo drink pack (10 promos)
- SlugCrew Gambler's Grog variant promo
- Russian Mimic variant promo
- Spanish Seriously Strong Spirits variant promo
- 27 cast metal tokens/markers

so 17 cards (10 of which were in RDI5) and 27 markers. Am I the only one who sees this as a tad expensive for what you're getting?

Foil cards and metal tokens aren't cheap.

But yeah, I don't particularly want to spend $80 for that.

And I got that wrong. A lot of those bits are in the $35 ECO edition as well.

- Up to 4 Foil Achievement Bonus Drinks
- RDI5 Promo Drink Pack (10 Promos)

So that leaves:

- SlugCrew Gambler's Grog variant promo
- Russian Mimic variant promo
- Spanish Seriously Strong Spirits variant promo
- 27 cast metal tokens/markers

So it's 3 cards and 27 cast metal tokens/markers for $85. Interest falling fast...

They've stated the collector's edition is for people that want to support their efforts, while the base is for people that want to use kickstarter as a preorder system.

Basically the problem it's attempting to tackle is 2 different types of people using kickstarter.

To be honest, I pledged with a single dollar because I do want to support the project, but honestly even the eco system isn't worth it since it doesn't add much over retail and their international shipping costs are insane (that's an extra $60).

I'm far better off just waiting for it to get to retail and buy it with virtually no shipping (if part of a larger order) or maybe possibly if I have someone visiting in America.

Where do you live? Because if you live in Australia, New Zealand, or east Asia, the shipping prices have dropped significantly. SFG found a distributor, which made it much cheaper.

Correct. The standard pledge level is the retail game plus promos.

Yeah, I got their update. But it's still the same for me. I'm in asia and in the east - the middle east. So not worth it for me.

I'll just wait for retail. I mean if it's just the foils that I'm missing out it's really not that big of a deal.
