Has anyone thought of a more linear scoring for popularity rather than just the three tiers, as a way to tease out a bit more differentiation between say, one persons popularity of 6 and another with 7?
I was experimenting with making the base results of the tiers centered at 3, 9 and 15, so a scaled formula is:
3 * stars + 2 * hexes + 1 * resources/2 +
(popularity - 3)/6 * (stars + hexes + resources/2)
What do people think?
