I'm indifferent. I like them on some and don't on others. But I prefer to have whatever the artist feels looks best.

Uh oh! It's heel-gate! I'm rather indifferent.

Tbh, I'm not a big fan of it but it's a small detail on only one 32 mm mini so I'm willing to let it slide. I just wish Paolo's idea of sexy didn't always revolve around pinups.

Pesonally I like the heels. I find them sexier than boobs hanging half out of a bronze corset 2 sizes too small .. cool

3 tips for people who don't like them:
- hobby knife: cut them of basically a sandals standing on toes look
- greenstuff: make small stones out of them
- basing: make a base with high grass no one sees the choice of shoes

more drastic alternatives:
- cut her off at the knees, fix to base and design a marsh/water/quicksand base
- cut her head off exchange it for the head in Perseus hand. (exchange Medusa's Gaze for Queen of the Amazons, and replace Monster Hunter by a Man Hunter equivalent )

PS: out of context this post sounds really bad

While I presume not wearing underwear has been practiced for millenia, high heels are a product of the modern era.

Who cares about underwear? It was not existing back in the days. Just like high heels that were derived from riding boots during Napoleonic wars (not sure - just modern times). I wonder why none of the minis is wearing nerdy glasses. Or wristwatch...
Btw, I am aware of other timeline discrepancies like an anchor etc.

Not wearing underwear and only covering privates with a flap on front? How about the peek-a-boob armor? Also traditional?

Come on, guys. Combine all that with the heels and at some point you just gotta say, "Yep, that one's ridiculous."

For me, it's nothing to do with nudity.

High heels were not worn in Ancient Greece, and even if they had been available, a serious warrior, which is what is portrayed here, would not have chosen them.

The option of not wearing underwear or of using stylized armour did exist. The form of the armour at the front is a bit silly but could be improved by painting. The heels though are going to need removing and/or remodelling.

Once painted this figure is going to be standing in a mysterious cotton wool fog about 6mm high which follows her whereever she goes.

"Boxing Helena" (and don't ask, it was 20+ years ago, I think I went to see it because I loved the Twin Peaks actress. Gawd, dat movie was a mess.)

Most Amazons depicted in any style of art were wearing nothing but a loincloth.

Of course, this also applied to men, but don't let that disrupt the narrative you're pushing.

I can see a legitimate stance against the heels, but everything else depicted is, and has, always been this way. The heels are fixed easily enough with basic modelling skills. Even just basing the mini will cover them up.

The rest of, what is seen as bare skin, can also be covered with paint to appear as tights, leggings, a shirt, etc.

This is not a historically accurate portrayal by any means, of ANY of the minis. Ancient Greece has far more sorted issues than some heels and big boobs.

There's some perspective.

I would also argue that the idea of several depictions of heroes and gods was to present them as beautiful as possible, with the aesthetic parameters of the time.

And sometimes not only beautiful, but with sensuality too. If you update the aesthetic parameters...
