My clue's pointing this way...
mbmbmbmbmb
I'm designing a card game in which triplets of cards are used to murder people and I'm looking for input on the best name. Take "best" as broadly as you like (most memorable, funniest, relevant, leanest whatever)

The game is meant to funny/social, nothing super high strategy.

Any other comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jarrod

I think having three or triple in your title in important. Does the theme have anything to do with Devils? Because when I hear Devils Three Way or Devil Makes Three, I'm expecting devils. Just my thoughts.

Triple Death Threat? or just Triple Threat?

I love that one, but would suggest a slight amendment to say it out loud more easily, while retaining the idea: "Three of unkind" as that sounds similar enough to "three of a kind."

I agree.
English is not my native language so I didn't know. I went for the familiarity of the Poker 'three of a kind' and reversed it.

Sorry to be that guy, but it's probably more important here.

The correct English for that phrase would be

'Three of an unkind'

I understand it's further from the phrase it's referencing, but I know a fair few gamers who wouldn't buy it if the name looked like it was just plain bad English!

Same; I really do like 'The Devil Makes Three', but I would expect at least something diabolical about the method of murder.

Could you please tell us a little bit more about the plot? That could help us come up with some more titles.

How about 'Dark Triad'? It's a bit grim-dark for a light-hearted game, but it has a double meaning that works well with the theme - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_triad

If the devil name is chosen, the idea would be each player takes turns naming someone they want dead and the remaining players create horrific / funny scenarios using cards from their hand. The active player then chooses which devil they want to make a deal with and that devil gets a the contract

If the deadly hands name, the idea would be that the players creating death scenarios would be assassins, or god or something

The explanation is overly simplistic, but the basic gist is there.

Also thanks for your suggestions

Then 'The Devil Makes Three', definitely. The game sounds fun!

The concept reminds me a bit of Machine of Death: The Game of Creative Assassination, but distilled into something more 'gamey'.

Yea this actually fits with the theme of our game pretty well, my only concern would be how widely known the reference is. But the cards we have written definitely support the name arrrh

Have you though of incorporating the word TRIAD into the mix? Just go back to the previous suggestions and slap that word in there. Does it work? Is it the wrong theme? Best of luck.

Don't go with Devil's Three Way or Devil's Threesome. Those are names for sexual encounters where it's two dudes and one chick.
