Hey gang!

I found this lot at a goodwill. Definitely from 1 adult collection. Im guessing an estate liquidation.

Historical wargaming is about as far away from my wheelhouse as you can get. I know ive done well here, but i was wondering if those familiar with that corner of our hobby could take a look and tell me if anything here is a gem? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I cannot be of much help with the games. However, you definitely made out well. I too have difficulty finding anything worth while at my local stores. One didn't even have any board games last I checked.

Nothing particularly crazy. 1914 is pretty old-school, the other AH games are "the classics" maybe worth 10-15 bucks each. Star force is solid, not sure about a couple of the SPI values. Time War is a 10-20 dollar seller.

Thanks brad! I paid around $5 a piece, so im feeling pretty good!

As for getting lucky at goodwill, i will say i go in 3 or 4 times a week (looking for video games) and this is the first time in a few years that ive found any board game close to hobbyist. Mostly the started 12 copies of trivial pursuit.

D-Day might be worth something if it's the original first edition. Otherwise I think you did ok at $5 a pop.

Holy cow! A crazy thought?
To pull something out, you first must put something in!
So yeah, very little games around, due to prices, lack of availability, localization, etc. Obviously NOTHING shows up at flea markets, since those types of modern board games are LUXURY items. NOONE will sell it of less than 90% of 'market value'.
At a flea market expect to find: broken scratched CDs (bootleg, of course), soviet era half fallen apart books for topic noones cares about or random trash lit, scratched kettles, random out-of-fashion dusty home decorations, outdated equipment typewriters and diafilm projectors,... etc, etc, etc. The only game you MIGHT find are checkers, dominoes, chutes'n'ladders, and so on.

I once found a Deluxe Scrabble game. I hate Scrabble so I thought I'd re-purpose the game board, maybe for Acquire or something like that.

Other than that, nothing good. Ever.

Lots of good, playable games there, if complete. If you're interested in making money, Island War is your cash cow. If it's complete and in good shape, it could fetch $50 - $100 all by itself.

Auction fodder. If your FLGS does that sort of thing.
